. What is ROAMSAFE?
ROAMSAFE, a musial alias i created under for 3 seperate projects. 2 EP's and 1 Single. during the time i was under this name, i was greatly inspired by artists: Quadeca, Phil Eleverum & Sugar Cherry.
. Why does ROAMSAFE Exist?
These artists enveloped what, to me; was surreal, emotional and distorted in various ways in the sound design, subject matters and visual aesthetics. I was enamoured by this and wanted to have my own place in it, give my own personal peice. I found that music and visuals that was able to provoke feelings of such emotions, sometimes even fear was so powerful and during a strike of inpsiration, i made my first album: BLANK.
. Why isn't ROAMSAFE active anymore?
ROAMSAFE was a greatly positive experience for it allowed me to experiment with various forms of self expression within the creation of the music production and film making.
In late 2023, i garnered alot of attention on social media following a repost of my work done by a major inspiration of mine (Quadeca)
I received a lot of negative criticism following the repost, claims of my project being frustratingly derivative. Some individuals creating memes from my face. Because i seemed to be directly copying those who i was inpsired by most. Which, i was.
Obviously, this attention had a negative impact on me and i had decided to abandon ROAMSAFE and continue music production quietly and privately.
. Will i revive this project eventually?
Maybe, if i ever create something which is truly mine.
